Captain – Minimum of 2000 hours PIC
First Officer – At least 600 hours total flying time with as much turbo-prop, twin time as possible.  We also give consideration to the quality of the flying hours.

In addition to the above, a minimum of 50 hours Multi-Engine flying is also required.

These criteria are operated due to the nature of our operation, being special mission maritime surveillance involving low flying over the sea.

Multi Engine Piston Pilots

Due to continued growth, Airtask Group are currently looking to recruit experienced MEP pilots for single pilot operations in the UK and overseas.  Bases for these operations are at Oban and Cranfield.


Our MEP activities involve CAT work on BN2s and SPO activities using DA42s.


A First Officer is also required on the F406 Maritime Patrol Aircraft based at Inverness.

It is essential that prospective candidates have the following qualifications and experience for any of these roles:

  • a valid EASA CPL
  • a valid MEP rating
  • current IR with PBN endorsement
  • current medical
  • a minimum of 1500 total hours
  • a minimum of 500 hours Multi Engine (Piston or Turbine)
  • the F406 position additionally requires MCC qualification


The ideal candidate will possess excellent inter-personal skills and be team orientated with a strong work ethic.
