Jon Bowland - Head of Safety
Jon joined Airtask as Deputy Flight Operations Manager in 2019, and has been recently appointed as Head of Safety.
After a varied RAF and civilian flying career, as a Captain on Dash 7 and Twin Otter for the British Antarctic Survey, he has been involved in a wide spectrum of flying roles. These include pilot training, trials flying, scientific research, maritime surveillance, SAR, cargo and passenger transport in environments from Afghanistan to Antarctica.
As Safety Manager Jon is responsible for managing the safety of Airtask’s operations and people, and the development of the Safety Management System. Jon is an experienced manager with a particular interest in risk management, he also holds a current type rating on the company F406 aircraft.
